Die heutige Verfolgung sorgte wieder mal für ein spannendes Biathlonerlebnis ! Man war gespannt zu sehen, wie Kaisa Varis, die zwar mit einem kleinen Zeitpolster ins Rennen gegangen war, jedoch ohne guten Ruf am Schiessstand, abschneiden würde. Auch wenn ihre Schiessleistung nicht perfekt war (1 Fehler bei jedem der ersten 3 Schiesseinlagen) konnte sie sich um den 8. Rang stabilisieren, doch 2 zusätzliche Fehler beim letzten Stehendschiessen liessen sie auf den 11. Schlussrang abrutschen. Mit den 20 Treffern, die sie verhalfen, ihren ursprünglichen Rückstand von 37 Sekunden rasch wettzumachen, gewann die junge Norwegerin Rogstad, die seit dem 2. Schiessen in Führung lag und sich mit 12 Sekunden Vorsprung vor Kati Wilhelm durchsetzte. Vielleicht erinnern sie sich noch, dass man vor Jahresfrist noch eine Linda Grubben auf solche Platzierungen sah… Es bestätigt sich also, dass Norwegen eine viel bessere Saison macht, als prognostiziert wurde. Obwohl sie ständig auf Lauer waren, verloren Neuner und Henkel jegliche Chance auf einen Podiumsplatz anlässlich ihres letzten Schiessens, was nun Kaisa Mäkäräinen zum Vorteil gereichte : dank eines insgesamt einzigen Fehlers konnte sie sich vom 10. auf den 3. Rang verbessern. Im französischen Lager hat das eher gut funktioniert, da Sandrine Bailly sich vom 20. auf den 6. Platz verbessern konnte, und dabei zeigte, dass sie das rote Leibchen nicht umsonst trug, denn sie darf es dank des winzigen Vorsprunges von 1 Punkt weiter tragen, während Sylvie Becaert 1 Rang gutmachen konnte indem sie 7. wurde danke eines prächtigen fehlerfreien Schiessens, derweil sämtliche französischen Starterinnen im Punktebereich landen konnten. Im Gesamtklassement übernimmt jetzt Kati Wilhelm die Führung, mit Martina Glagow 6 Punkte hinter ihr, wobei Sandrine Bailly mit einem Abstand von 15 Punkte gegenüber die Trägerin des gelben Leibchens weiterhin gut platziert bleibt. Die anderen Französinnen : 25. Delphine Peretto (18/3), 26. Julie Carraz (32/2), 30. M.-Laure Brunet (45/1). Today's pursuit offered once again stirring action ! It was particularly interesting to follow what performance Kaisa Varis would be capable of, whereas she had a little time advance, yet, with un uncertain reputation as far as the shooting is concerned. Althoug she indulged herself a few faults (1 fault on each of her first three shootings) she could stabilize herself about the 8th rank, yet 2 more faults at the last standing shooting made her slip back on the 11th place. Shooting 4 times clear, thanks to them she could quickly make up for her 37 seconds' handicap, the young Norwegian Rogstad leaded as soon as the 2nd shooting and won before Kati Wilhelm with an advantage of 12 seconds. One year ago, you may perhaps remember that a certain Linda Grubben was on such places… It is the confirmation that Norway makes a far better season than forecasted. Constantly well placed, Neuner and Henkel lost all chances of a podium place after the last standing shooting, but Kaisa Mäkäräinen knew how to take profit from that : thank to a single fault overall, she could improved her ranking from 10th to 3rd. On the French side, the things went quite right, as Sandrine Bailly could improve herself from the 20th to the 6th place, thus making honour to her red pursuit bib, which she can keep due to a tiny single point, whereas Sylvie Becaert could win 1 rank and passed from 8th to 7th due to a magnificient clear shooting, and all French women at the start ended up within the points area. At the overall ranking, Kati Wilhelm is the leader now, putting Martina Glagow at 6 points, Sandrine Bailly keeps well placed 15 points away from the yellow bib. The other French: 25th Delphine Peretto (18/3), 26th Julie Carraz (32/2), 30th M.-Laure Brunet (45/1). La poursuite d'aujourd'hui a une nouvelle fois offert un scénario des plus palpitants ! On était curieux de voir comment se comporterait Kaisa Varis, certes dotée d'une légère avance au départ, mais réputée instable au tir. Bien qu'entaché de fautes, celui-ci resta correct (1 faute sur chacun des 3 premiers tirs) et lui permit de se stabiliser autour du 8ème rang, mais 2 fautes supplémentaires au dernier tir debout la firent rétrograder à la 11ème place. Auteur de quatre tirs parfaits, grâce auxquels elle eut vite fait de compenser ses 37 secondes de débours, la jeune Norvégienne Rogstad a mené dès le 2ème tir et s'impose devant Kati Wilhelm avec 12 secondes d'avance. Et dire qu'il y a une année, c'est Grubben qu'on voyait à de telles places… Il se confirme donc que la Norvège effectue une bien meilleure saison que pronostiqué. Constamment placées, Neuner et Henkel perdirent toute chance de podium sur leur dernier tir, chose dont profite Kaisa Mäkäräinen : grâce à une seule faute en tout, elle remonte du 10ème au 3ème rang. Côté français les choses sont plutôt bien allées, puisque Sandrine Bailly est passée de la 20ème à la 6ème place faisant honneur à son dossard rouge de la poursuite qu'elle conserve pour un tout petit point, tandis que Sylvie Becaert pouvait gagner 1 rang et passer de 8ème à 7ème grâce à un magnifique tir sans faute, alors que toutes les Françaises au départ terminent dans les points. Au général, Kati Wilhelm prend désormais le commandement en reléguant Martina Glagow à 6 points, Sandrine Bailly reste toujours bien placée à 15 points du dossard jaune. Michael Greis bestätigte, und zwar in brillianter Weise : 1 Fehler, 28 Sekunden Vorsprung und den Doppelsieg Sprint-Verfolgung im Bayerischer Ruhpolding. Hinter ihm konnte Maxim Tchoudov trotz 3 Fehler und anfänglichen 20 Sekunden Rückstand den 2. Platz nehmen. Norwegen konnte dank Svendsen wieder mal auftrumpfen, der als 15. ins Rennen gegangen war und dieses als 3. beendete (1 einziger Fehler). Auch Stian Eckoff ist erwähnenswert, er konnte sich vom 44. auf den 18.Rang steigern ; doch wird das reichen, um seinen Platz im nationalen Kader zurückzufinden ? Simon Hallenbarter (4), der als 6. gestartet war, verteidigte sich eher gut und wurde schliesslich 11., heute Abend liegt er als bester Schweizer auf dem 25. Platz der Weltcuprangliste, derweil Matthias Simmen 21. (33/3) wurde. Vincent Defrasne (2) konnte sich heute gegenüber gestern etwas aufraffen, indem er 8 Plätze gut machte und 10. wurde. Die anderen Franzosen : 42. Ferréol Cannard (27/4), 43. Simon Fourcade (54/3), 52. Lois Habert (60/4). Let us mention Stian Eckoff too, qho climbs from place 44 to the 18th rank ; but will it be enough to gain his place in the national team back ? Start 6th, Simon Hallenbarter (4) could defend his chances and ended up on the 11th rank, tonight he is 25th of the overall WorldCup ranking as the best Swiss, whereas Matthias Simmen ended up 21st (33/3). Vincent Defrasne (2) could make a good operation today : he could make up for his somewhat bad yesterday's sprint and ended up 10th by winning 8 ranks. La Norvège se met une nouvelle fois en évidence grâce à Svendsen, parti 15ème et qui termine 3ème (1 seule faute). Mentionnons aussi Stian Eckoff , qui grimpe du 44ème au 18ème rang ; mais sera-ce suffisant pour retrouver ses prérogatives en équipe nationale ? Parti 6ème, Simon Hallenbarter (4) se défend plutôt bien et termine au 11ème rang, il pointe ce soir au 25ème rang du classement de la Coupe du Monde en tant que meilleur Suisse, alors que Matthias Simmen termine 21ème (33/3). Vincent Defrasne (2) a fait une bonne opération aujourd'hui : il rattrape son sprint un peu moyen et termine 10ème en remontant de 8 rangs.
