Oft war sie schnell in der Loipe unterwegs, naturgemäss war sie aber keine "Schützin", Kaisa Varis, die nach ihrer Suspendierung wegen Doping ins Lager der Biathleten gewechselt war. Doch diesmal blieb sie fehlerfrei, während manche Favoritinnen mitunter mehrmals patzten, und das Ergebnis ist da : Sieg ! Zusätzlich mit Mäkäräinen, die am Tag ihres 25. Geburtstages 10. wurde, haben die Finninnen allen Grund zum Jubeln… Sleptsova und Jonsson (je 0 Fehler) belegten die Podiumsplätze 2 und 3. Mit ihrem 8. Rang rangierte Sylvie Becaert (0) wieder mal innerhalb des Top10, und auch für Delphine Peretto lief es heute gut (18., 0 Fehler). Aus Schweizer Sicht gab heute Selina Gasparin ihren Saisoneinstand, konnte sich aber mit dem 62. Rang und 3 Fehlschüsse im Stehendschiessen nicht für die Verfolgung von Sonntag qualifizieren. Die anderen Französinnen : 20. Sandrine Bailly (3), 32. Julie Carraz(1), 45. Marie-Laure Brunet (1), 63. Pauline Macabies (4), 72. Marie Dorin (4). But today, with a double zero, whereas many favourites could not shoot clear, the verdict is there : victory ! Along with Mäkäräinen, who ended up 10th on the day of his 25th birthday, the Finnish have reasons to celebrate… Sleptsova and Jonsson took the places 2 and 3 of the podium (0 fault each). Ending up 8th, Sylvie Becaert (0) ranks once again among the Top10, and Delphine Peretto had a good run too (18th, 0 fault). On the Swiss side, Selina Gasparin was starting in her season today, but her 62th final rank with 3 faults at the standing shooting does not allow her to qualify for Sunday's pursuit race. Souvent, elle avait obtenu de très bons temps de ski, mais n'était par nature pas "tireuse", Kaisa Varis, transfuge du ski de fond après sa suspension pour dopage. Mais avec un double zéro, alors que maintes favorites s'étaient permises plusieurs fautes, le verdict est là : victoire ! Avec Mäkäräinen 10ème le jour de ses 25 ans, les Finlandaises sont donc décidément à la fête… Sleptsova et Jonsson complètent le podium (toutes les deux 0 faute). Se classant 8ème, Sylvie Becaert (0) se hisse une nouvelle fois dans le Top10, Delphine Peretto faisant elle aussi une assez bonne course (18ème, 0 faute). Côté suisse, Selina Gasparin entamait aujourd'hui sa saison, mais son 62ème rang avec 3 fautes au tir debout ne lui permet pas de se qualifier pour la poursuite de demain.
