Nach verheissungsvollen Vorzeichen meldete er sich definitiv zurück : Michael Greis, der in diesem Ruhpoldinger Sprint 1. wurde bei einem fehlerfreien Schiessen ! Eigentlich kommt die gesamte deutsche Mannschaft langsam in Schwung mit 6 Leute in den ersten 12. Maxim Tchoudov und Alexander Wolf landeten auf die Plätze 1 und 2 mit je 1 Fehler. Nach all den Miseren der letzten Zeiten brachte dieses Rennen den Schweizern ein zweifaches Glück : erstens wurde Simon Hallenbarter dank eines fehlerfreien Schiessens 6. und erzielt somit sein bestes Weltcupergebnis überhaupt (Gratuliere!) und alle vier Starter klassierten sich innerhalb des Top60, womit erstmals sämtliche Schweizer für die morgige Verfolgung qualifiziert sind. "Heute hat fast alles gepasst. Ich kam auf den ersten beiden Runden super mit. Mein Ski war brilliant. Da ich noch etwas ein Husten leide, ging mir die Kraft auf der letzten Runde aus. Dennoch bin ich mehr als happy mit dem drittbesten Schweizer Biathlonresultat überhaupt", so Hallenbarter nach dem Wettkampf. Für die Franzosen hingegen war das Gesamtergebnis eher mau, bester wurde Vincent Defrasne, 18. aber schon mit einem Abstand von 1min 30 auf den Sieger. Die anderen Franzosen : 27. Ferréol Cannard (2), 54. Fourcade (1), 60. Lois Habert (2), 62. Vincent Porret (0), 64. Julien Robert (1), 87. Vincent Jay (2). And Michael Greis is back on top after he had given some promising signs these last times : 1st with a faultless shooting ! From a general point of view, the whole German team is quickening its pace with 6 representatives within the fist 12. Maxim Tchoudov and Alexander Wolf took the places 1 and 2 with 1 fault each. On the Swiss side, this race brought two satisfactions after all miseries suffered these last times: Simon Hallenbarter ended up 6th with a faultless shooting (Congratulations!) and a premiere : all 4 starters are within the Top60, which means that they are all qualified for the pursuit race. "Almost everything went right today. On the two first loops, I could follow easily. I had brilliant skis. Due to some coughing I still suffer from, my energy was exhausted on the last loop. Nevertheless, I am very happy with this result, the third best from a Swiss biathlete ever", said Hallenbarter after the race. On the contrary, the race was not very satisfying for the French, Vincent Defrasne was the best of them, he ended up 18th and already far away from the winner, at 1min 30. The other French: 27th Ferréol Cannard (2), 54th Fourcade (1), 60th Lois Habert (2), 62nd Vincent Porret (0), 64th Julien Robert (1), 87th Vincent Jay (2). Voici Michael Greis de retour au premier plan après les indices prometteurs qu'il avait donnés ces derniers temps : 1er avec zéro faute ! De manière générale, toute l'équipe allemande se met en branle avec 6 représentants dans les 12. Maxim Tchoudov et Alexander Wolf prennent les places 1 et 2 avec resp. 1 faute. Côté suisse, 2 grosses satisfactions après toutes les misères de ces derniers temps : Simon Hallenbarter 6ème grâce à un tir sans faute (Bravo!) et les 4 partants dans les 60, donc sélectionnés pour la poursuite de demain, ce qui constitue une première. "Aujourd'hui, presque tout a marché comme il le fallait. Sur les deux premiers tours, j'ai pu soutenir un bon train. Mes skis étaient super. Mes forces ont décliné sur la troisième boucle, mais il faut savoir que j'ai encore un peu de toux. Je suis bien sûr plus que satisfait de ce résultat, le troisième meilleur de tous les temps pour un biathlète suisse", devait déclarer Hallenbarter à l'issue de la course. Course plutôt mitigée pour les Français, le meilleur d'entre eux est Vincent Defrasne, 18ème et déjà loin à 1min 30 du vainqueur.
