Zum ersten Mal durfte Magdalena Neuner in gelb starten, mit der festen Hoffnung, das zierliche Trikot weiterhin tragen zu dürfen. Auch Sandrine Bailly hatte ein besonderes Trikot, nämlich das rote, und hoffte, die mit diesem Leibchen verbundene kleine Kristallkugel für sich zu behalten. Und das schaffte sie auch ! Im spannenden Kampf um all diese Ehren konnte heuer sie punkten. Mit nur 2 Fehlern konnte sie ihren 16. Startrang mächtig verbessern und beendete den Wettkampf als 4., im krassen Gegensatz zu Andrea Henkel, die besonders beim Liegendschiessen Nerven zeigte (insgesamt 6 Fehler, Schlussrang 15). Somit hat sich die Gewinnerin der Gesamtwertung der letzten Saison aus dem Rennen zum Kristall verabschiedet.

Und Magdalena Neuner ? Mit ebenfalls 6 Schiessfehlern aber mit ihrer gewohnten Laufstärke wusste sie den Schaden in Grenzen zu halten und wurde 7. Damit bleibt sie weiterhin in gelb und verfügt immer noch über einen (bereinigten) Polster von 19 Punkten auf Sandrine Bailly.
Das Podium : die 3 ersten liefen ein tolles Rennen, insbesondere was das Schiessen angeht (je 1 Fehler), erste wurde Sleptsova, zweite Wilhelm und 3. die Chinesin Liu Xianying.
Die anderen Französinnen : 14. (15) Sylvie Becaert (1), 22.(42) Delphine Peretto (1), 23. (13) M.-Laure Brunet (4), 42. (56) Marine Dusser (2).
Magdalena Neuner had for the first time the honour to start in yellow and the firm hope to keep the right to bear it. Also with a distinctive jersey but the red one : Sandrine Bailly and the hope to defend it better than she did for the one of the sprint. And this is what she did ! In this struggle for the honours, she was the one who could win the most points today. With only two faults, she could fairly improve her 16th start position and ended up the race 4th, contrarily to Andrea Henkel, who missed especially her prone shooting (overall 6 faults, 15th final rank). Thus, the winner of last year's overall ranking is out of the race for the crystal globe.
And Magdalena Neuner ? Also with 6 faults but with her usual strength in the slope, she could reduce the damages to a minimum an ended up 7th. This allows her to remain in yellow with a (neat) advantage of 19 points towards Sandrine Bailly.
The podium : the first 3 ran a tremendous race, especially as fas as the shooting is concerned,(1 fault each), Sleptsova won before Wilhelm and Liu Xianying from China.
The other French: 14th (15) Sylvie Becaert (1), 22nd(42) Delphine Peretto (1), 23th (13) M.-Laure Brunet (4), 42nd (56) Marine Dusser (2).
Magdalena Neuner avait pour la première fois l'honneur de s'élancer en jaune, et la ferme intention de conserver ce beau maillot. Egalement équipée d'un maillot distinctif, le rouge , Sandrine Bailly espérait bien défendre celui-ci plus victorieusement que celui du sprint. Et c'est bien ce qu'elle fit ! Dans la course extrêmement tendue pour tous ces honneurs, c'est elle qui a tiré son épingle du jeu aujourd'hui. Avec seulement 2 fautes qui lui valent la 4ème place, elle a pu considérablement améliorer son 16ème rang de départ, tout au contraire d'Andrea Henkel, qui a perdu toutes ses chances surtout au tir couché (6 fautes en tout, rang final 15ème). La gagnante du Général de l'année passée quitte ainsi la course au gros globe.
Et Magdalena Neuner ? Elle s'est également faite l'auteur de 6 fautes, mais a su limiter les dégâts grâce à la force à skis qu'on lui connaît et termine 7ème. Elle reste ainsi en jaune et dispose encore d'un avantage (net) de 19 points sur Sandrine Bailly.
Le podium : les 3 premières ont couru une superbe course, notamment au niveau du tir (seulement 1 faute chacune), Sleptsova l'emporte devant Wilhelm et la Chinoise Liu Xianying.

Männer - Men - Hommes
Da heute sowohl OEB als auch der Schwede Ferry, der einzige, der ihm die kleine Kristallkugel der Verfolgung hätte streitig machen können, wegen Krankheit nicht am Start waren, mangelte es ein bisschen an Salz in dieser Verfolgung, doch schlussendlich wurde sie recht interessant. Während der unglückliche Andresen, der sich immer noch bei seinen Trainern empfehlen muss, wegen technischer Problemen aufgeben musste, nahm der Duo Pinter-Tcherezov dauerhaft die Führung.
Schliesslich gewann der Russe Oberhand, vor dem Österreicher und dem jungen Norweger Emil-Hegle Svendsen. Bester Franzose wurde Simon Fourcade, der sein Rennen als 19. beendete, nachdem er vom 55. Rang zurückgekommen war (2 Fehler).
Die anderen Franzosen : 31. (50) Alexis Bœuf, 38. (54) Lois Habert(2), Vincent Defrasne DNS (23).
In absence of OEB, ill and of the Swede Ferry, the only one who could have taken him the little globe of the pursuit, for the same reason, this male pursuit suffered somewhat of a lack of salt, but was nevertheless quite interesting. Whereas the forlorn Andresen, still in quest of rehabilitation in the eyes of his trainers, had to give up due to a mechanical problem, a duo Pinter-Tcherezov took the head of the race and did no more give it back.
The Russian will finally end up first, before the Austrian and the young Emil-Hegle Svendsen. Today's best French was Simon Fourcade, who ended up 19th after winning many places from the 55th rank (2 faults).
The other French: 31st (50) Alexis Bœuf, 38th (54) Lois Habert(2), Vincent Defrasne DNS (23).
En l'absence d'OEB, malade et du suédois Ferry, absent pour la même raison, le seul qui aurait pu lui contester le globe de la poursuite, cette poursuite masculine était un peu dépourvue d'enjeu, mais n'en fut pas moins intéressante. Alors que le malheureux Andresen, en quête d'une réhabilitation aux yeux de ses dirigeants, devait abandonner sur problème mécanique, c'est un duo Pinter-Tcherezov qui prenait durablement les commandes, pour ne plus les lâcher.
Le Russe finira premier, devant l'Autrichien et le jeune Emil-Hegle Svendsen. Le meilleur Français est Simon Fourcade, qui finit 19ème après avoir remonté du 55ème rang (2 fautes).
