First comments about the candidacy procedure

In der Zeitung "Le Progrès de Lyon", gibt Jean-Marc Dole, der Präsident des Regionalverbandes Massif Jurassien, seinen leicht enttäuschten Kommentar zum kürzlich gefallenen Entscheid der FFS über die französische Kandidatur für einen künftigen Weltcup. "Ich habe keine Angst, es zu behaupten : von den 5 Dossiers hatten wir den besten ! Erstens genoss er den vollen Rückhalt aller Gemeinden um La Seigne, zweitens entsprach unsere Kandidatur den Vorgaben der IBU am genauesten. Das musste die IBU selbst erkennen, es hiess sogar ihrerseits, mit einem solchen Dossier könnten wir problemlos in die WC-Reihe aufgenommen werden. […] Da aber die IBU die Kandidaten nach ihren eigenen Vorlieben sortiert hatte und da der Vorstand von Anfang an klar gemacht hatte, dass er die Präferenzen der IBU respektieren würde, war die Wahl von Le Grand Bornand/Annecy von vornherein eine beschlossene Sache. Ich möchte keine Polemik entfachen, aber der Dossier von Le Grand Bornand entspricht mitnichten dem, was ursprünglich gefordert worden war ! Nun aber ist die IBU der Ansicht, dass ihre Weltcups langsam dazu neigen, sich zu sehr zu ähneln ; der Konzept von Le Grand Bornand, mit Wettkämpfen mitten im Ortszentrum, war für sie einen willkommenen Anlass, für mehr Abwechslung zu sorgen. Vom Gewicht Annecys ganz zu schweigen..." " I am not afraid to say this : we had the best dossier of all 5 candidate locations ! First, because all communities around La Seigne had given their full support to the project. And then because of all bids, ours was the most respectful of the IBU’s specifications. The IBU had to recognize this and said that with such a dossier, we could integrate the WorldCup circuit without problem. […] Yet since the IBU had ranked the sites in order of its preferences and that the Board had announced from the outset that it would respect the IBU’s preferences, it was obvious that Le Grand Bornand/Annecy would be chosen. I do not intend to start a polemic, but what Le Grand Bornand showed has nothing to see with what was asked initially ! Simply, the IBU finds that the WordlCup venues slowly all look a bit same ; hence, Le Grand Bornand, with races in the middle of the resort, was suddenly a welcome alternative. Not to mention the weight of Annecy ..." Dans " Le Progrès de Lyon ", Jean-Marc Dole, président du Comité Régional du Massif Jurassien, commente, légèrement désabusé, la récente décision de la FFS concernant le choix d’une candidature française à une manche de CdM. " Je n'ai pas peur de le dire : nous avions le meilleur projet des cinq dossiers en lice ! D'abord, parce qu'il avait le soutien sans faille des collectivités autour de La Seigne et ensuite parce que notre candidature était la plus respectueuse du cahier des charges. L'IBU l'a d'ailleurs reconnu en assurant qu'avec un dossier comme celui-là, on pourrait sans problème intégrer le circuit Coupe du monde. […] A partir du moment où l'IBU a classé les sites dans l'ordre de ses préférences et que le Comité directeur avait annoncé dès le début qu'il irait dans le sens des préférences de l'IBU, le choix du Grand Bornand/Annecy est devenu inévitable. Mais sans vouloir polémiquer, ce qu'a proposé le Grand Bornand n'a rien à voir avec ce qui était demandé au départ ! Simplement, l'IBU trouve que ses Coupes du monde se ressemblent toutes un peu et elle a privilégié l'originalité du Grand Bornand avec des épreuves dans le centre de la station. Sans parler du poids d'Annecy..."
